Event Details
In this printmaking workshop, Rhi teaches the use of photographic screen-printing techniques to produce a range of artworks. Based on your interest in printmaking, you will produce a t-shirt, an edition of ‘zines’ and set of postcards. Rhi introduces visual and textual story-telling, and guides your journey so you can take ownership of your own mini-publication. In addition, you will extend elements of this to other public and reproducible mediums.
Dr. Rhi Johnson is a lecturer in printmaking at USQ. She is an active artist and educator in the fields of Printmaking, Artist’s Books and Mixed Media art. Her interests extend to the formation of everyday narratives, and how these can be disrupted or subverted visually. Rhi investigates visual cues that can punctuate an environment, object or space of perceived meaning, and in doing so, may allude to subconscious methods of processing information. Rhi has been involved in group and solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
