About Alex

For Alex, growing up in Outback & Regional Queensland fostered an appreciation for the role of creative culture and the benefits they offer community.

Based in Toowoomba, Alex has over a decade of experience in creative industries with a multidisciplinary practice, including artist, founding artist run spaces (Attic Art Space, made. Creative Space), gallery management (Crows Nest Regional Art Gallery), events & festival programming (Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, LIT Festival: Stories in Light), community engagement (Toowoomba Regional Council, Grand Central Shopping Centre, Hyperdome Shopping Centre, Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre) and product development and sales. Alex’s love of arts, collaboration, skill sharing and community lead her to found Tinker a creative studio based in Toowoomba.
