This workshop will be run over three consecutive Wednesday evenings and one Tuesday evening from 6 pm – 8 pm. Over the course of the four-week program, the classes will involve:

• Introduction to basic wheel-throwing techniques

Including understanding the principles of centring, compression, coning, and identifying and resolving form

• Introduction to basic turning techniques

Including the preparation of chucks, the type of tools required for turning, and the correct approach to turning specific forms

• Exploring surface decoration techniques and glazing techniques
• Understanding the basics of firing kilns (e.g. bisque firing and gloss)

COST: $220 for the 4 workshops, inclusive of GST and clay
